工作坊 / WORKSHOPS

The THY LAB team organises and runs workshops, providing opportunities for students,  filmmakers and audiovisual researchers to produce their own films. The work of our students attempts to represent the complexity of the lived experiences of young people today. We encourage critical approaches to the cinematic form through varied modes of representation, and value the ethnographic method. Occasionally, the workshop is hosted by Universities, as part of their regular BA and MA courses or as a short intensive training.

THY LAB provides studio space, shooting and editing equipment as well as creative and technical support. To be considered for the program, please send your CV, a covering letter, and links to previous work to alberto@thinkyoung.eu.

2013 | Belgium/Spain

I ask for your cooperation for this collective interactive ethnography. Watch videos, give your opinion and show your preferences about the objects and research targets. This dialog begins by showing, through the first published videos, the arrival to the field, and the subjective and experiential way to introduce myself into Brussels´ reality. I will try to show the position of the researcher at the field-site and, at the same time, show the reality that is shared by many young people who arrive to European capitals. From that moment, the dialogue will begin and we will build the objectives of the research from the suggestions made through social networks and the view of the conclusions in the published videos. Watch all episodes here.
